How The Box Items are Curated

Mana Boxes

In one of our previous blogs, we talked about the women behind Mana. We thought it would be beneficial to explain how these women curated the products we’re featuring and talk a little about the companies that Mana works with.

In April of 2020, we were part of an annual conference with the South Africa Women President Organization members. It was during this event that we felt the heaviness of the desperation of these South African businesswomen. Their pain and challenges in mid-April were raw and real. They were facing impossible decisions about their staff, their businesses, and their lives.

We knew these were not the only women that were struggling and felt compelled to do something. So, even before we had established our brand, we started reaching out to these women and the Women in Business Advisory to find out the extent of their need. The Mana team also focused on other women in business or nonprofits that employed a majority of women that had been financially impacted by COVID-19.

After we got in touch with these businesses, we inspected each of the products these artisans would be contributing. We needed to decide which would be a good fit to add into our subscription boxes. The product we eventually chose are all one-of-a-kind, handcrafted goods that are made with strict quality controls to make sure every subscriber receives exceptional gifts.

At Mana, we’re committed to quality and providing a consistent product and experience for you, all while restoring the hope and livelihood to the woman and communities in South Africa.

Mana creates a unique opportunity to play your part in changing the world. To learn more about the project, visit bit.ly/ManaBoxes.
